- A surprise "Thank You Presentation" to the person being thanked
- Backstories are told about the subjects involved
- Man-on-the-street "thank you" segments incorporated into the episodes at strategic points
- Gratitude Facts: short statements by scientific, spiritual, or medical "experts" about the power of the attitude of gratitude in one's life

Purpose: A hybrid Dramedy/Reality program intended to entertain with a positive message and to inspire viewers to help others in a direct, hands-on fashion; for instance, by starting food drives and delivering food to the needy within the context of the program.
Elements include
- A fictional storyline centered on a "family" of workers at a Southern small town newspaper office. The characters are confronted with their attitudes about giving and selfless living by different events and needs in their community.
- Reality is included in each episode as the challenge facing the newspaper staff. If the episode is about a local family that needs food, then in reality an actual Food Drive occurs and delivers the help needed. If the episode is about the needs after a destructive tornado, then the production team participates in helping an actual family.
